Week 2: RETHINKING EPISTEMOLOGY – How is a connectivism driven organization? (Originally sent to Blogger Sep. 20, 2008)
This week’s theme is: Rethinking knowledge. My approach is: How is a connectivism driven business or service organization?
In the following picture I illustrate how a connectivism driven organization is created by the choices and the behaviour of different stakeholders of the organization.
It is essential that in stead of forming traditional working groups inside the own organization only – individuals work through communicating and building social connections and relationships with other individuals across traditional organizational borders. The improved networking skills form a vital source of energy throughout this process. This requires a conscious development process. I’m perceiving what everything needs to be considered, decided, practiced or developed in order to be successful in this personal process.
I’m beginning to understand, with the help of your post, that the pipe is more important than the content. I’ve been looking at the content as the big thing, and now it seams that the quality of the relationship is more important.
